Since
June 2004, FECHIMM is in charge of the applications for Central-Housing-Coop
on the territory of the City of Montréal. Central-Housing-Coop
is a unique booking office set up by the applicants of low
income housing units wanting to live in a housing cooperative
financed with the
PSBL-P program.
Headed by the Société d'habitation
du Québec, the Federation receives and deals with the
applications for 47 cooperatives in the PSBL-P program in
Montréal. It then dispatches the applications received
to PSBL-P cooperatives.

FECHIMM offers its member cooperatives
and their member-tenants a free telephone assistance. You
can leave your messages on the voice mail of the telephone
counselling service at 514-843-6929, extension 227.
During the week, you can usually get an answer to your questions
within 24 hours.
Our counsellor, Aziz
Maman, answers your questions, Monday to Friday,
between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. He can help on a host of
questions related to community housing.

Whether
your cooperative needs renovation work, a new construction
or a simple regular inspection of its buildings, FECHIMM is
now able to offer the services of building technologists who
can help decide what you need. He will also help you establish
a multi-year maintenance plan.
Price
You have two options. You can be billed
at an hourly rate of $75 or for a package deal at a specific
amount. This package deal is $1,200, and covers opening the
file, the traveling time of the technologist and the inspection
of 10 housing units. Additional fees of $75 per housing unit
will be billed for any additional unit over 10. This package
deal includes the inspection of the buildings and the housing
units along with a detailed report. According to your needs,
we will help you determine which option is best adapted to
your situation.
